Notes: Initials are those of contributing musicians, instigator first, then responders. An 'x' indicates xenochronic application of a contribution. On "Evans Meets McGriff" you hear in the domestic background three tracks from side two of Jimmy McGriff I've Got a New Woman (Solid State, 1968) - "The Swingin' Shepherd Blues", "What's That" and "When I Grow Too Old to Dream" - with Jimmy McGriff on Hammond organ (using the bass pedals), Arthur "Fats" Theus on tenor sax, Thornell Schwartz on electric guitar and Willie "Saint" Jenkins on drumset (information not vouchsafed on the Solid State LP, but available now from Wikipedia). "The Hancock Strut" refers to Matthew Hancock, UK Secretary of State for Health and Social Care, who in May 2020 laughed in the face of those who accused him of handing out Covid-19 "test and trace" contracts to corrupt cronies and hiding the evidence - an action ruled illegal by the High Court on 21st February 2021. All this while tens of thousands die needlessly of Covid-19, and benefit restrictions mean people are forced to queue in the street for food.
